I was born in Arncliffe, New South Wales the youngest of four children and after leaving school followed a career in Accountancy.
After retiring, moved to Queensland to settle in Landsborough in 2005, working and volunteering in Aged Care.
It was always my wish to paint but only started a few years before leaving New South Wales, commencing with Folk Art. I joined the art group at Mapleton and with the help of two great teachers have learned so much, eventually becoming a member of the Blackhall Range Visual Artist's group. My favourite media is graphite pencil drawing and also enjoy still life in acrylics.
The friendship and knowledge I have received from the two groups has been fantastic and I hope I can continue for many years to come. I enjoy the thrill of my still life paintings coming almost to life as though they are real. It is so encouraging to be able to paint or draw something that someone else would want.
